It depends on the destination, your nationality, the visa category and the time of year. Each country guide shows indicative processing information. Treat it as a planning range, not a promise, and avoid non-refundable bookings until you have a decision.
There are usually three separate charges: the government visa fee, any visa application centre fee, and our service charge. See the visa fees page for what each covers.
It varies. Some destinations run fully online eVisa systems; others require biometrics or an interview in person at an embassy, consulate or visa application centre. The country guide for your destination sets this out.
Most destinations require validity beyond your intended departure — commonly six months. If your passport is close to expiry, renew it first; applying on a nearly-expired passport usually causes problems.
